2nd May 2021:

A lovely little place to stay. Jack and Michele were so helpful and even offered to pick me up from Axminster. The kitchen has everything you could need and the cream tea is a lovely way to greet guests. WiFi was reliable throughout.

Tips:

I didn't eat out due to Covid restrictions. The Charmouth Nisa store has a limited range of food but has a good range of local beers and ciders. There's a bus stop at the end of the road and it's a short journey to Lyme Regis and Bridport.

28th December 2020:

The Coach House is a wonderful place to stay and the hosts are excellent. Nothing is an issue and they really do go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. I stayed with my wife and our four-legged friend George. As soon as we walked in you knew that the Coach House was well looked after as it was really clean and the added touch of leaving a toy and treats for George along with a baking treat for us was well received. We could not have chosen a better place to get away for some rest and exercise.

Tips:

It's on a hill so be prepared to stretch your legs. The walks are excellent.

3rd November 2020:

My wife & i were delighted with the bijou accommodation & the charming location of the Coach House. The interior fixtures & furnishings were of a high quality & we appreciated the space the shower room afforded. Equally appreciated were the little extras; i.e. the treats left for our Jack Russell & delicious cream tea ! Jack & Michelle were perfect hosts; taking the time to have a chat & recommend places of interest. One last observation; the views from the accommodation were AMAZING ! We are looking forward to a return visit, next spring/summer.

Perfect for a few days away. Everything you need. Very dog friendly. Close to lots of places to visit. Great walks.

Tips:

On a steep hill so need to be aware of that. Limited places to eat in village but plenty a short drive away.

What a wonderful find in beautiful West Dorset. Quiet and conveniently located to the beach and surrounding area. The accommodation was well equipped and comfortable. Being welcomed with a cream tea was a lovely touch. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. I already miss the balcony and the view of the sea in the distance and the view of the rolling hills from the kitchen window. We have already booked to go back!

Tips:

Fantastic Restaurant in Lyme Regis called Doms Table. We were lucky to get a table Friday evening. Dom changes the menu daily, prepares, cooks and serves to the table explaining each dish. A must if you are staying at the Coach House. If you want a taxi make sure you book a day in advance for your out and return journey's. A cab is like gold dust!

4th September 2020:

Lovely comfortable accommodation. Home from Home. Cream Tea on arrival a great treat. Starter pack of tea coffee milk etc was so helpful. Many other things were supplied that I've had to take before myself when self catering. Washing up liquid, salt pepper, vineagar, cling film, kitchen roll and so on and so on.

Tips:

We were only here for 3 nights so we ate in. Lots of lovely walks and easy access to the beach. Shops supplied everything we needed. Lots of information on where to go and what to do, where to eat etc in the cottage. If you don't want to troll through the literature, just ask Jackie and Michele.

Lovely Coach House. Helpful and friendly hosts. Veranda with sea views lovely to sit out on. Extra nice touches such as Cream Tea, fresh flowers, fresh milk on arrival, excellent. Hosts happy to assist in changing our requirements prior to visit. .

Tips:

Pre book to order and collect fish and chips in village as it’s a very popular shop and queues can be lengthy. Local Nisa shop just down the road, very handy,

18th August 2020:

The Coach House is small but very carefully planned so we found it well equipped for our stay and to ensure we got the most out of the lovely area. The hosts were friendly and helpful when we asked for advice.Their handling of our pre-existing booking following lockdown was very reassuring as was their standard of cleaning.

Tips:

Unfortunately you will need to use the information provided and general searches to plan and pre-book restaurants, most pub meals and attractions in advance at this time. The Visit Dorset website was also useful.

Fantastic accommodation, especially the new decking area, and spotlessly clean. The bed is so comfy and I slept really well the whole week. Jack and Michele, the hosts are extremely helpful and welcoming.

Tips:

Lyme Regis is a lovely town with some nice cafes and walks. I would also recommend Stonebarrow Hill as the views are spectacular.

24th February 2020:

Great compact accommodation. Really well thought out use of space and tastefully fitted out to a high quality. Very friendly and helpful owners living next door who gave us a warm welcome including doggy treats, flowers and a cream tea. They also gave us insight to the best places to visit and booked a table for us at the local dog friendly pub. Will love to return to see the changes once the deck is completed.

Tips:

The Royal Oak is a few minutes walk from the coach house serving good pub food. It was dog friendly and the locals were very welcoming. We like the beach at Branksome and Sidmouth was also worth a visit.

We stayed with our dog for 5 nights at the coach house. We had a brilliant time. The location is really good for exploring the area, walking distance to the village, shops and beach. The coach house was very well equipped with everything we needed. Warm and cosy. The hosts are great, nothing too much trouble and very friendly and helpful.

Tips:

Charmouth beach is in walking distance. Lyme Regis very nearby, beautiful beach and good selection of places to eat. Annie's tea room is well worth a visit
